The Foodshed Initiative is part of the museum's expansion of it's long standing Healthy Children, Healthy Communities Initiative and is a strategic focus of the museum leading up to it's 20th anniversary in 2020. Stepping Stones has gathered a group of local stakeholders to develop a plan to support equal access to fresh and healthy foods; education about nutrition and general wellness and a long term sustainability plan to support area residents, businesses, and other key players.
